“Heaven is Here” became a guiding phrase in my life as a young woman moving cross-country away from any family to pursue my inner child dreams. In experiencing the myriad of challenges, setbacks, snake-oil salesmen, and temptations that are ripely present in the modern music industry and in Los Angeles, I quickly learned how crucial it would be to be incredibly intentional with the perspective I choose to take on this journey.

To me, “Heaven is Here” means that: both Heaven and Hell are very real places here on Earth, and in any moment- depending on what you choose to focus on, you can be present in either. For example, on a random afternoon, I could choose to focus on the frustratingly unending LA traffic and other daily annoyances, or I could choose to focus on the silver lining of that moment- and be filled with excitement, realizing I’m living the life I once dreamed about.

“Heaven Here” is a way of life and a perspective we can take to acknowledge and honor the Heaven around us at all times and in any given moment. It is a reminder that everything is as it’s meant to be, even when we think things may now be going our way. There is always beauty, joy, and gratitude to be found if you make the conscious choice to look for it.
